Zilla Fatu Recalls Attending WrestleCade For The First Time, Taking Part In His First Ladder Match

Zilla Fatu recalls his first visit to WrestleCade.

WrestleCade has been a staple of professional wrestling for more than a decade at this point, allowing fans to meet top stars from the past, present, and future of the business.

In 2024, rising indie star Zilla Fatu got to make his first appearance at the event. To nobody’s surprise, he was blown away about how many fans showed up to see him.

“So to be honest, everywhere I go, not just North Carolina, but everywhere I go, I just get so mind blown by how many wrestling fans there is. But last year, my first WrestleCade, I was so blessed to be a part of. I was just so mind blown because there were so many people there and I’m like, ‘Damn, like, okay.’ I know there’s New York have their own way, West Coast, they have their own way, Southside, we have our own way. But I never thought like, you know, deep over here by North Carolina, South Carolina and all that, I didn’t know it really had their own little cult. I was just so surprised by that. It was a great weekend. I was there with my team and that was my first ladder match. I did my first lot of math there and it was just crazy, man. ‘Cause I tried to go out and try to be Jeff Hardy and, that didn’t work.” Fatu told Fightful in a new interview.
