Zilla Fatu addresses NXT fans chanting his name during a recent WWE NXT taping.

On the January 6th edition of WWE NXT, Ricky Saints would cut a promo on the show, and as he spoke, the NXT crowd would chant Zilla’s name. This was in part due to Saints attacking Fatu during December’s ROW SubZero event, but for Zilla, it was a humbling experience for both him and his team.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Zilla Fatu spoke about the NXT crowd chanting his name, noting that it was a humbling experience for he and his team.

“It felt great, it felt so great, it was a humbling experience for me and my team. When I first started, I didn’t know where my career was going to end up, it’s just so mind-blowing when you turn the TV on and hear them chanting my name. I didn’t know that until the day after, when all my friends and family were sending me videos of the fans screaming my name on NXT. It was definitely a humbling experience and not only that, it was special to me.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Zilla noted that he was going to get his get back on Saints even if he had to go to NXT to do so. You can read more about that here.
