Yota Tsuji Defending IWGP Heavyweight Title Against Jake Lee At NJPW The New Beginning In Osaka

Tsuji’s first title defense.
February 11th is the date of New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s The New Beginning in Osaka show, and the event will be headlined by an IWGP Heavyweight Title defense.
Coming out of the 1/20 Road to The New Beginning show, Jake Lee and IWGP Heavyweight and Global Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji had a confrontation after United Empire (Jakob Austin Young, Francesco Akira, Great-O-Khan, Callum Newman & Jake Lee) defeated Unbound Company (Gedo, Taiji Ishimori, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji).
The challenge was thrown out by Tsuji to defend his title against Jake Lee at The New Beginning in Osaka, and Lee accepted.
After Tsuji won the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at Wrestle Kingdom 20, Lee ambushed him and ruined his post-match celebration.
Here is the updated lineup for the 2/11 show:
- IWGP Heavyweight Championship: Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Jake Lee
- NEVER Openweight Championship: Aaron Wolf (c) vs. Ren Narita
- IWGP Tag Team Championship: Knock Out Brothers (OSKAR & Yuto-Ice) (c) vs. Yuya Uemura & Shota Umino
