On June 18th, El Grande Americano and Berto would meet with the WWE Speed Championship on the line after Berto would win a mini-tournament to earn his shot at the championship exclusive to X.
In the championship bout, the rules would of course change, with a five minute time limit instead of the traditional three associated with Speed bouts. In what is becoming a common theme of El Grande Americano’s Speed matches, he would use the aid of a metal plate in his mask to put Berto away, including a brutal one just prior to the deciding pinfall where Americano would successfully retain his championship.

After the bout, the next tournament to crown a WWE Speed Women’s Championship number one contender was also set, as B-Fab will battle Alba Fyre and NXT’s Thea Hail and Nikkita Lyons will face off.
