Nash has served as the WWE Friday Night SmackDown ring announcer since earlier this year, and has been present for much of John Cena’s retirement tour in 2025. Now, he has paid tribute to Cena after his final SmackDown appearance before he retires this past Friday night.
In a new social media post this weekend, Mark Nash reflected on having the opportunity to work with Cena during his retirement tour noting that it has been ‘truly an honor’ to call the ‘never seen, seventeen’ world champion.
“Thank you @johncena for this once in a lifetime opportunity. I’ve been in the ring to introduce World Title Fights in boxing, but this is easily one of the most memorable & iconic introductions that I will carry with me forever. The past couple of months having the privilege of introducing The Greatest of All Time, The Never Seen Seventeen on Friday Night Smackdown has truly been an honor! Thank you.”
Following Nash’s first appearance as the Friday Night SmackDown ring announcer back in March, Triple H would state that Nash had ‘killed it’ on his debut. You can read more about that here.
