WWE No Longer Hosting Press Conferences After PLEs

WWE is doing away with the press conferences.

Following night one of WWE SummerSlam, the company presented its usual post-show, but there was no press conference for members of the media.

SmackDown commentator and host Joe Tessitore stated that the new format for the post-show is going to consist of just interviews with backstage correspondents in addition to talents, and Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque joining the post-show to recap the event.

Members of the wrestling media were informed that there was not going to be a press conference after SummerSlam.

Over the last year, Paul Levesque had been questioned at pressers about Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE, Ronda Rousey’s allegation against Drew Gulak, and if that was the reason for Gulak no longer being with the company. Levesque was also asked about the lack of Black male representation on Premium Live Events, among other questions that became topics of conversation after the presser.
