Wren Sinclair Explains Why She Was ‘Terrified’ When She First Joined WWE NXT

Sinclair opened up about the nerves and excitement she felt.
It has been two years since Wren Sinclair signed with WWE. Present day, she’s trying to put together a new-look version of the No Quarter Catch Crew faction with herself, Charlie Dempsey, and EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kendal Grey.
While guest appearing on the Battleground Podcast, Sinclair looked back at when she first joined NXT and explained why she was ‘terrified.’ She feels that emotion showed in how she looked while on-screen.
“I was terrified when I first came to NXT and I think it kind of showed a little bit. I was terrified but I was enamored and I was excited with everything that is WWE, because when you start off at a professional wrestling school, your goal is ultimately — most of us — is WWE. So to finally be, not only through the doors, but making an entrance on a live television show, it was like a pinch-me type moment. So when I walked out there, I think if you go and look back, I just have this dumb look on my face of just pure excitement, which I feel like most people who watched me prior aren’t used to, because I was just so calm, cool and collected. But, being in front of that crowd and knowing that there were the hundreds of thousands and millions that are gonna consume all this later, watch it at home or watch the replays, it was surreal, and I, again, just had a dumbfounded — so excited, this is what I worked for, and now it’s all finally paying off and here I am.”
Sinclair accompanied Kendal Grey to the ring for her EVOLVE Women’s Title defense at NXT Gold Rush week two. Charlie Dempsey returned to NXT TV during the match.
