Will Ospreay Doesn’t Have An Exact Date For Surgery Yet, Also Unsure About A Time Frame For His Return

Will Ospreay doesn’t know when he’s having surgery.

After AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Will Ospreay will take an extended break from the world of professional wrestling to have surgery on his neck. Ospreay has been open about his injuries, revealing that he has a couple of herniated discs in his neck.

Speaking with Screen Off Script for a new interview, Ospreay said that he doesn’t have a exact date for surgery yet. The 32-year-old also made sure to note that there isn’t a time frame for his return to the ring.

“I’ve got a few herniated discs in my neck and it’s been pushing on my spinal cord, so it’s doing a number on my arm. I am fully comfortable and confident going into the ring [at Forbidden Door], so are my medics, so is my surgeon. It will be navigated and I’ll be looked after. Yeah, I will have to be going in for surgery after Forbidden Door. We haven’t got an exact date and we don’t know a time frame to come back. As nerve wrecking as it is, everybody is comfortable with me going into this match.”
