Victoria: I Love Toni Storm, But You Never Bury A Company. You Don’t Want To Bash Any Company

AEW Women’s Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm made headlines ahead of AEW All Out by proclaiming that she is an “AEW Lifer” and is on a five-year deal with the company.

Toni said, “I’m on a long deal for AEW, like I’m signed my life to AEW. I’m on a five-year deal, and I can’t remember how long. But I’m a lifer for AEW. There’s no like, ‘oh, well, we’ll see what happens.’ That does happen a lot in wrestling, though, yes. Random crazy shit happens. But as of now, AEW for life.

“That’s no offense to [WWE]. I think they’re great, and I understand them for exactly what they are. They’re a machine. They’re a business. And I just don’t fit in with their whole shtick, and that’s cool. It’s like, I love it. I love a lot of the people that work there and it’s like, yes, get that money. Get that power. But, I mean, realistically, in my life, like, that’s it. I’m not going to like, how old can I do this? How long can I do this? I don’t know.”

Lisa Marie Varon (Victoria) spoke to So Cal Val on The Velvet Ropes (via WrestlingNews.co) and weighed in on Toni’s comments.

“First of all, I love Toni Storm. I love her look, Marilyn,” Victoria began. “Super sweet when you see her at a meet and greet, very thankful. And yeah, I love her, but you never bury a company. You know, we all learn this saying that ‘maybe that’s not the place for me,’ but every company changes every year. You never know when you’re going to go back or when they’re going to demand Toni Storm to make a comeback to WWE.”

She continued, “You don’t want to bash any company, and I’ve learned that lesson. I’ve done that before and shame on me, but I think you get very like in your head going, ‘I need to say what I am feeling right now.’ But social media is not the platform to go if I’m angry at a moment. You know what? Let me think about it tomorrow if I feel the same way, you know because social media is so easy to go on a rampage and you’re going to go the next day, ‘I shouldn’t have said that’.”

Storm is set to defend her AEW Women’s Title against Thekla, Kris Statlander, and Jamie Hayter at AEW All Out.

Victoria was recently added to WWE 2K25 as a DLC character.
