United Empire Wins 10-Man Tag Team Match, Francesco Akira Returns At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20

A new-look United Empire.

A 10-man tag team match was on the bill for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 at the Tokyo Dome. The bout was advertised as United Empire (Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, HENARE, Andrade El Idolo & TBA) versus David Finlay, Shingo Takagi, Gabe Kidd, Hiromu Takahashi, and Drilla Moloney.

The mystery fifth man for United Empire was revealed to be Jake Lee, who had been out of action since September 2024 after he fractured his right knee cap, and in addition to undergoing a surgical operation, had to learn how to walk again.

Lee scored the victory for his team by pinning Hiromu Takahashi with a laxadazical cover as his hand was placed on Takahashi’s chest.

Post-match saw the return of three-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Francesco Akira. He suffered a fractured right wrist in August 2025. He is now back with United Empire.
