Undertaker Sees Star Potential In Forthcoming Crop Of WWE Recruits, Says New Debuts Are On The Horizon
Undertaker comments on the next crop of WWE Superstars and whether or not he sees another “Phenom” on the rise.
The Undertaker has been with WWE since 1990 and has been one of the most loyal Superstars in company history. He retired after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022 and is now working behind the scenes, becoming more hands-on in shaping the future of WWE. Currently, he serves as a coach on WWE LFG, where he interacts directly with the hopeful stars of tomorrow.
During the recent interview on Nightcap, Undertaker was asked if he sees any future stars that could carry a gimmick like his. He explained that while he has faith in the future of WWE, he’s not sure how many stars will adopt a gimmick like his. He also praised Bray Wyatt as the closest thing to that kind of character in recent years.
“I mean, I see a lot of people that are coming up that have potential to be stars. Now, whether their characters are similar to mine, I guess the closest within the past few years, obviously, was Bray Wyatt; we lost him last year, but he was in that category of Undertaker-esque. I don’t know that anybody’s really honed in there, but we have a lot of young talent coming up, and they’ll probably be debuting really soon, because the machine, again, you’ve got to keep it fresh.”
