Undertaker Says He Urged Tyra Mae Steele To Watch Kurt Angle Matches Daily

Undertaker says he used to tell Tyra Mae Steele to study Kurt Angle matches on a near-daily basis.

WWE NXT Superstar Tyra Mae Steele is an Olympic gold medalist. Kurt Angle is also an Olympic gold medalist. Steele was part of the Undertaker’s WWE LFG team for season 1 of the A&E program. Undertaker says that he used to tell her to study Angle’s matches all the time.

He explained this to Kurt Angle when Angle was a guest on the Six Feet Under podcast.

“I use you a lot when I deal with the LFG kids, and I had an Olympic gold medalist in season one, Tyra. I mean, it was, like a daily thing. I’m like, ‘Are you watching your Kurt matches? ‘We were trying to incorporate her amateur background, and I always felt like you did the perfect amount of amateur and professional. You gave your work side credibility. Because when you slapped, even, like a rear waist lock, I mean, you could tell when you grabbed it, it was different, and your suplexes and all of that stuff. So I use you all the time, not just with amateurs, but just your style. I thought you had everything, don’t get a big head, but you had everything in the toolbox.”

Another wrestler who could work various styles and incorporate comedy into their act is Owen Hart. Undertaker and Kurt Angle also discussed Owen Hart’s ability on the podcast. Read their comments here.
