Triple H: Worlds Collide Was A Joint Promotion. This Is WWE Now. AAA TripleMania XXXIII Was Day One

WWE announced the purchase of AAA in April with the promotion continuing under the AAA name. In June, WWE and AAA held Worlds Collide. On August 16th, AAA presented it’s annual TripleMania event.
“In sort of looking at the landscape of the wrestling world, overall, there was a thought of places we could amplify what they do. One of the first and foremost markets we thought of was Mexico. How could we help to grow what they do? How could we help to add to it?” Triple H wondered in a behind-the-scenes video.
“Worlds Collide showed people that it would be authentic and the lucha that they love. I felt like it was just the start. Realistically, it was. It wasn’t our promotion. It was a joint promotion. This is now us. This is now WWE. While, sometimes an event like TripleMania can feel like the end of a run, like a Super Bowl of the Finals, this is really the start. This is day one,” he stated.
TripleMania XXXIII featured a number of WWE superstars including Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, Natalya, Omos, Dragon Lee, El Grande Americano and more.
