On night one of WWE SummerSlam 2025, CM Punk would meet Gunther in the main event for the WWE World Championship. The match was a brutal one, as Gunther would punish Punk throughout with brutal chops and powerbombs. As the match reached it’s conclusion, Gunther would be busted open, opening the door for Punk to hit a pair of GTS’ on ‘The Ring General’ to win the world title. In the aftermath, Seth Rollins would cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase to dethrone Punk.
In a new social media post on Sunday morning, Triple H labeled Rollins’ cash in the night before as ‘The Heist Of The Summer’, playing off the wording of Rollins’ previous cash in being described as ‘The Heist of The Century’.
Adding to the long list of moments and insane celebrations…the “Heist of the Summer”.
