Trick Williams Wants To Be John Cena’s Final WWE Opponent

Trick Williams would love to be John Cena’s final opponent.

John Cena has five more appearances as a WWE Superstar. That means only five chances remain for any wrestler to step into the ring with Cena, and one of those opponents is already confirmed.

With a new generation of WWE Superstars dreaming of facing John Cena, there are only a few more opportunities for someone to step up and showcase the ruthless aggression Cena displayed when he debuted against Kurt Angle in 2002.

Trick Williams is a top star in WWE NXT and the current TNA Wrestling World Champion, and while he has yet to debut on the WWE main roster, he told Booker T on the Hall of Fame podcast that he would be a great final opponent for “The Never Seen 17.”

“Man, to be honest with you, I can’t think of one man better for the job than me. We’re talking about a guy who put the business on his back for a long time, and his last match needs to be with a guy who can handle that weight, who can handle that pressure. We’re talking about the future. We’re talking about the guy who is going to be carrying the brand for a long time, 10-plus years in the game, into the future. I am that guy, undoubtedly, undeniably, I am the future of WWE, so if John Cena wants to pass the torch forward to a guy who can carry the weight, Trick Williams is that guy.”

John Cena will face AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel. See what’s left for John Cena at this link.
