A local story about Schiavone.

Seattle, Washington-based outlet KIRO-TV published a story about AEW broadcaster and correspondent Tony Schiavone flying cross-country to adopt a rescue dog.

This story began when Saraya showed up to an AEW show with a Chihuahua-beagle mix, and it caught Schiavone’s attention. Saraya told him the dog came from the Motley Zoo animal rescue shelter in Washington state.

The next time AEW held a show in the Seattle area, Schiavone reached out to Motley Zoo. The shelter’s director linked up with Schiavone, but the specific type of dog Schiavone was looking for had already been adopted. Schiavone was determined to get the dog.

In the meantime, Schiavone and his wife adopted a beagle from a rescue in Atlanta, Georgia. Schiavone, still determined to get the Chihuahua-beagle mix, used frequent flyer miles to get to Seattle, caught an Uber, and brought a dog home named ‘Dobby.’
