Tony Khan Visits Kota Ibushi In Hospital After Ibushi Undergoes Surgery For Broken Femur

Khan delivered a handwritten note to Ibushi.

It was at a taping of AEW Collision that Kota Ibushi squared off with Josh Alexander. There was a point in the bout when Alexander had Ibushi in a fireman’s carry position on the middle ring rope.

Their momentum caused them to lean back, and Ibushi fell out of the ring. The match ended via countout as Ibushi was not able to make it back into the ring. It was later confirmed by Ibushi that he suffered a broken femur, and he’s since undergone successful surgery.

Taking to Instagram, Ibushi shared that AEW President Tony Khan visited him in the hospital and Khan left the following written note for Ibushi:

you + your hard work. I wish you all the best in your recovery. Everyone in AEW respects you so much. Thank you, God Bless you, Mr. Kota Ibushi!

Best,
Tony Khan, AEW
