Tony Khan ‘Very Excited’ To See What Happens Next With Andrade

Tony Khan chats Andrade El Idolo.

After he departed from WWE, Andrade made his way back to All Elite Wrestling. He left AEW in 2023 to join WWE and is now back with AEW.

His return appearance happened on the anniversary edition of Dynamite, and he targeted Kenny Omega. Andrade went on to align himself with The Don Callis Family.

Andrade has not been present on AEW programming since then, and his absence was brought up to AEW President Tony Khan during his appearance on Z100 New York. Khan said the following about Andrade:

“Well, Andrade El Idolo was a great wrestler for AEW and he left at the end of Worlds End ‘23, at the end of 2023. I gave — actually here in New York — a press conference scrum and I said, ‘I think Andrade El Idolo’s a great wrestler. He’s leaving AEW on a very high note, and he’s leaving on the best of terms,’ and all that is true, and I have a ton of respect for him, and I can’t say much more other than to say that I’m very excited to see what happens next with Andrade. I love the guy very much and I have a lot of respect for him.”

El Idolo posted an image of his luggage on social media. AEW is running a live Dynamite and a taping of Collision on 10/22 in San Antonio, Texas.
