Tony Khan Says Killer Kross Would Be An Interesting Name To Talk To About Joining AEW

When Killer Kross (Karrion Kross in WWE) departed WWE in August, after realizing it wasn’t a work, fans wondered what his next move would be.

Kross made a surprise appearance at GCW, and has been competing at various independent promotions. Some fans wondered if AEW might be an option for him.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the Ariel Helwani Show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about Kross’ AEW prospects.

“I have not spoken to him in many years,” said Khan.

Helwani said that he thought Kross would be a layup for AEW.

“That’s interesting. I’m not sure,” said Khan. “I like Killer Kross. It’d be interesting, at some point, to talk to him again. It’s been a long time since I talked to Killer Kross. It would be interesting. He did a match with Darby. I like him. That night, I had a lot of things going on, but I actually wanted to go see his match. I didn’t get to see him that night, but that probably would’ve been a great chance to re-connect with him. He’s great. I think he’s tremendous.”

Khan noted he was doing a ComicCon appearance with Darby on the night of Darby’s match against Kross.

Asked if he was surprised that WWE didn’t renew Kross’ contract, Khan replied, “It’s interesting. You never know what’s going on with different wrestlers and different organizations, so I can’t speak to that. I think he is very talented and Darby said he had a great experience with him. It would definitely be worth re-connecting. We get so deep in our foxholes and thinking about the things we’re doing. Sometimes, I get so laser focused on one thing, that I think about those things. At some point, he’s definitely a great name to think about.”

As of now, Kross remains a free agent.

Elsewhere during the interview, Khan commented on the AEW status of Will Ospreay. You can find his full comments here.
