Tony Khan Names His Favorite Wrestlers Not In AEW
Tony Khan discusses his favorite wrestlers who aren’t under his employ.
Tony Khan is not only the booker and owner of AEW and ROH. He’s also an avid wrestling fan. As such, he continues to keep an eye on all wrestling promotions and has his favorites from around the globe. He has even been fortunate enough to book many of the wrestlers he has been a fan of throughout his life.
On My Mom’s Basement with Robbie Fox, Tony Khan named Zack Sabre Jr., AZM, and the Starlight Kid as three of his favorite wrestlers that are currently working outside of AEW and ROH. He also put over Mistico, another wrestler he has had the pleasure of booking on AEW programming.
“Zack Sabre Jr would be very high on the list. Starlight Kid, very good. AZM, very good. The lightbulb came on, Mistico. Mistico is one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. He’s been on Dynamite since I was in college, I was booking him (in my notebook). I got really into CMLL in the early 2000s.”
