Tony Khan Congratulates Claudio Castagnoli On Becoming CMLL World Heavyweight Champion
Castagnoli is holding CMLL gold.
At CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular event, the show was headlined by Claudio Castagnoli challenging Gran Guerrero for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship.
Guerrero had been in possession of the title since November 2022, and after 1,117 days as champion, the title reign came to an end at the hands of Castagnoli.
After the title switch, AEW President Tony Khan took to social media to congratulate Castagnoli.

Castagnoli is scheduled to be in action on the 12/3 AEW Dynamite. He’ll be in a Continental Classic Blue League match as he’ll be taking on fellow Death Riders member Jon Moxley.
