Tommy Dreamer: Your Worst Scenario As A Wrestling Fan Is A Bad Cody Rhodes
One of the main things Tommy Dreamer couldn’t wrap his head around on Smackdown was the fans in Berlin booing Cody Rhodes.
The former two-time Undisputed WWE Champion lost his title to Drew McIntyre in a three stages of hell match that saw Jacob Fatu return and cost Rhodes the belt. Now, after hearing the boo’s, Dreamer warns WWE fans of what’s to come.
“If Cody turns on you and becomes a bad guy, don’t ever cheer for him because you made it happen. He did everything he could for you and you turned on him,” Dreamer said. “Man, I would love to see now a heel Cody because you made that happen…. If you want heel Cody, beware of what you wish for.”
Dreamer added, “If this is an era where we want to cheer bad, okay, your worst scenario as a wrestling fan is a bad Cody Rhodes. I’m telling you, I know what he has to be a heel, and what you see as a top guy heel, you ain’t gonna like it.”
Dreamer’s comments on Busted Open Radio stem from Rhodes time in AEW where he seemingly refused to turn heel despite being booed out of the building on a weekly basis. He’s been a top babyface throughout his entire second run in WWE, but at this point there are no signs of him actually going through with a full heel turn.
