TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva: Mike Santana’s Journey Is Unreal
TNA Wrestling president Carlos Silva discusses the journey that Mike Santana has been on as he attempts to capture his first TNA Wrestling World Championship. Silva is confident that Santana will have a great “rest of the season.”
After coming up short in his quest to become the TNA Wrestling World Champion in his home state of New York at TNA Slammiversary, Mike Santana has vowed to his daughter and the wrestling fans around the globe that he will win the championship. Many are already pointing to TNA Bound For Glory in October as a potential spot for Santana to have a singles opportunity for the gold.
Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm on Muscle Memory, Silva addressed the possibility of Santana getting another shot at the goal. In response to whether or not it could happen at Bound For Glory, Silva put over Mike Santana as a human being and expressed confidence in his direction for the foreseeable future in TNA.
The story and the journey that Mike has been on, it’s unreal. It just gives you goose bumps when you sort of talk through it. You see that from him. He wears his emotions on his sleeve, and I think there’s just a lot to see coming forward with Mike and the team. The stuff that he does in the ring, but also just the way that he carries himself. His daughters come out with him to many of our events, and that’s always been a lot of fun. It’s going to be a great rest of the season for Mike Santana, and everything that he does, both for himself and for TNA wrestling. So, I’m excited about it.”
Carlos Silva aims to solidify a new media rights deal for TNA by October, hopefully, before TNA’s Bound for Glory 2025 event. Read more here.
