Starting the action of the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 main card was a Tornado Ranbo match for the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship.

Participating in the match were the IWGP Tag Team Champions, the Knockout Brothers (Yuto-Ice & OSKAR), and their third was Clark Connors.

Flanking the trio was All Elite Wrestling talent Thekla. At NJPW x STARDOM Historic X-Over II in 2024, Thekla and Connors teamed up.
