The Undertaker Had Glass Stuck In His Arm For A Year Following Incident During Boneyard Match At WWE WrestleMania 36
The story was shared by Michelle McCool.
While in Washington, D.C. for John Cena’s final match, WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Michelle McCool recorded a live episode of Six Feet Under.
Joining them for the recording was A.J. Styles. The focus of the chat was to go over Styles and Undertaker’s Boneyard cinematic match from the main event of WrestleMania 36 night one. McCool told the story of how, when The Undertaker punched through a car window and was severely cut, glass remains were stuck in his arm for a full year.
“So the glass goes through his arm. They get it out, supposedly. A year goes by. Like literally, a year. We’re at home. He’s like, ‘Um, babe… I don’t know. There’s something poking out of my arm and it doesn’t feel right,’ and I look and he’s got a triangle underneath his skin… So of course, I’ve taken out plenty staples in his head… stitches. He’s like, ‘Try to get it out.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know what it is. You want me just to dig into your arm?’ Long story short, we get to WrestleMania the following year… Mark said, ‘I don’t know. It kind of moves around, it kind of hurts a little bit.’ He still had glass in his arm, a year later. Doc had to cut out more glass from his arm.”
2026 is the year that A.J. Styles retires from in-ring competition. He has not provided a specific date, but says 2026 will be his final year.
