The Rock Misses Out On Best Actor Nomination At The 98th Academy Awards

The Rock misses out on an Oscar nomination.
The nominees for the 98th Academy Awards were announced on Thursday, January 22. Despite being an early favorite for the award months ago, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson missed out on a nomination in the Best Actor category for his work as Mark Kerr in ‘The Smashing Machine’.
Instead, the Best Actor nominees were as followed — Timothee Chalamet in ‘Marty Supreme’, Michael B. Jordan in ‘Sinners’, Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘One Battle After Another’, Ethan Hawke in ‘Blue Moon’, and Wagner Moura in ‘The Secret Agent’.

Rock was shut out from the majority of awards season, only picking up Best Actor nominations at the Golden Globes and the Astra Film Awards. He did not win either of those awards.
