The Butcher Issues Warning To AEW Tag Teams, ‘Butcher And Blade Are Back’

The Butcher and The Blade haven’t teamed on AEW TV since January 2024 due to Blade being sidelined with a spine injury.

With Blade now healthy, Butcher has issued a warning to other teams in the company.

“Butcher and Blade are back bitch. Watch your mouthes tag teams,” he wrote on Instagram, tagging AEW in the post.

While Blade was sidelined, Butcher did compete in singles matches in All Elite Wrestling. He has not wrestled for the promotion since February 2025 when he lost to Gabe Kidd on an episode of Collision.

Blade returned to the ring on December 13 at Blissmas 25 in Buffalo, teaming with Butcher and competing in his first match since February 2024. He underwent spinal fusion surgery in September 2024.

It is unknown when Butcher & Blade will return to television.
