Tetsuya Naito Issues Challenge To The Young Bucks For IWGP Tag Team Titles
At NJPW New Year Dash!!, Tetsuya Naito issued a challenge to new IWGP Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson).
Naito proposed that he and Hiromu Takahashi challenge the Bucks for the championships.
The Bucks won the vacant IWGP Tag Team Titles at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty, defeating Takahashi & Naito and Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan in a three-way tag team bout. The Bucks pinned Great-O-Khan in the bout.

Takahashi & Naito won 2024 NJPW World Tag League, but faced each other at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19. They defeated Ryusuke Taguchi and Alex Zayne at NJPW New Year Dash!!
