Syuri Announces She’s Undergoing Elbow Surgery

Syuri made her AEW debut as part of the women’s casino gauntlet at AEW All In. She entered the gauntlet at number 11.
On social media, Suyri announced that she would be undergoing elbow surgery.
“I’m having surgery this month on my elbow, which has been hurting for a while!!” She wrote (translation via @meraWrestling)
It is unknown how long she will be sidelined.
She also posted that she was heading back to Japan, and enjoying an Auntie Anne’s pretzel at the airport.

A vignette aired for Syuri promoting her impending arrival during ROH Supercard of Honor.
She is a former IWGP Women’s Champion. It was previously announced that she would be taking a break from STARDOM. She had her final match in the promotion on July 6th against Ranna Yagami.
As part of her departure press conference, Syuri said she would be taking time off to heal from injuries and that she was going to “level up” overseas.
Along with previously holding the IWGP Women’s Title, she is a former World Of Stardom Champion, Goddesses Of Stardom Champion with Giulia, and Sendai Girls Tag Team Champion with Hikaru Shida.
