Syko (John Weena) Reflects On WWE Raw Appearance, Discusses Mutual Respect With Dominik Mysterio

The M.W.F. wrestler speaks about his appearance.
Going into Survivor Series: WarGames, where Dominik Mysterio and John Cena clashed over the WWE Intercontinental Championship, there was a segment on the Survivor Series go-home edition of Monday Night Raw featuring Dominik.
He was addressing Cena, and then Cena’s theme song hit, but out came a micro wrestler dressed as Cena. That individual was called ‘John Weena,’ but he wrestles as ‘Syko’ for the Micro Wrestling Federation.
Syko discussed his WWE debut on Off The Ropes. He said plans had not been fully finalized when he arrived at the venue. It was not decided if Syko or the other micro wrestler, Lil Tucker, would be used for the Cena role. Lil Tucker ended up playing the role of Stu, the cameraman.
“That was a dream come true. I knew one day I would be on that stage but, to actually be there, it was amazing.
I wasn’t for sure exactly (what the plans for Raw would be when WWE first contacted me). They told me a little bit of what I was doing, but they hadn’t decided if it was gonna be me or the other guy, Little Tucker. So, me getting there, I wasn’t fully knowing what I was getting myself into. They didn’t wanna let it out either. They wanted to keep it a surprise, so they didn’t tell us very much.”
Syko was asked what led to him being selected for the Cena role. He stated that Tucker had gray hair and looked more like Stu, whereas he looked like Cena. He added that Dominik Mysterio has been to a Micro Wrestling Federation show, and they have mutual respect for one another.
“I mean, besides my speaking part and then, he (Lil Tucker) had the gray hair that made him look more like Stu, and then also, Dominik Mysterio, he’s been to our show… I wouldn’t say we’re friends but, we’re acquaintances, and I had respect for him, he had respect for me. So he kind of put me over in that aspect.”
Come Survivor Series, Dominik had the help of The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor, J.D. McDonagh, Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez) and the returning Liv Morgan to aid him to victory over Cena.
Cena’s last and final match in WWE is taking place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on 12/13. His final opponent is going to be the winner of L.A. Knight versus GUNTHER in the finals of the ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament.
