Swerve Strickland has acknowledged the WWE main roster call up of former NXT and TNA World Champion Trick Williams.
On the December 2nd edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, former NXT Champion and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Trick Williams would be called up to the WWE main roster as a part of the blue brand. In his appearance on SmackDown, Williams would interrupt Sami Zayn, noting that he has the goal of becoming a world champion on the main roster just like NXT and TNA.
A major AEW name would also react to Williams’ main roster call up, as Swerve Strickland would tweet out a simple post with the hashtag ‘WhoopThatTrick’.

Williams is not the only former NXT star who has recently been featured on the main roster as part of the latest round of call ups, as both Jordynne Grace and Je’Von Evans have been presented as free agents in recent weeks.
Strickland is currently scheduled to team with Hangman Page on the January 7th edition of AEW Dynamite, where the pair will take on The Opps’ HOOK and Powerhouse Hobbs in a Lights Out Match. You can read more about that bout and how it came together here.
