Sting reflects on his convention retirement tour, labeling it a massive blessing.
At AEW Revolution last year, ‘The Icon’ would compete in his final wrestling match alongside his tag team partner Darby Allin against The Young Bucks. This year, Sting has had a second retirement tour as he finishes off his final convention loop in full Sting makeup. For him, he’s appreciated hearing fans tell him stories while on his final loop.
While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Sting was asked about his convention retirement tour, noting that it has been a ‘massive blessing’ to him.
“It’s been a massive blessing to me, that’s for sure. I mean, I can’t tell you how many stories that I get to hear. That’s what this seems to be about, is stories. I’m hearing fans tell me stories about how I affected them or how wrestling affected them way back when.”
Earlier this year, Tony Khan noted that Sting is always open to returning to feature as part of AEW programming. You can read more about that here.
