Sting talks about having a lengthy career in the pro wrestling industry before he retired.
‘The Icon’ is one of the most legendary professional wrestlers in the history of the industry, having competed in TNA, WWE, WCW and AEW throughout his pro wrestling career. His in ring career would come to a close last year at AEW Revolution, where he and Darby Allin would defeat The Young Bucks to retain their AEW World Tag Team Championships.
While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Sting was asked if he ever thought he would be in the wrestling industry for over four decades, with the Hall Of Famer noting that he never understood old guys hanging around in the industry.
“No. I was the guy who said, I don’t understand all those old guys hanging out for so long. I could not understand it. I said, ‘I will never do that,’ and I blew them all out of the water. Four decades later, here I am.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Sting spoke about having his convention retirement tour this year. You can read more about that here.
