Steve Maclin Has Talked With Carlos Silva About Defending TNA International Title Outside The U.S.

Steve Maclin has plans to defend the TNA International Championship outside of the United States.

Steve Maclin is the first TNA International Champion. He won the title at TNA Unbreakable. So far, he has defended it against all challengers in TNA, including in a brutal Dog Collar Match. He has also defended the title outside of TNA Wrestling. However, he has not yet defended the title outside of the United States for promotion outside of TNA.

Speaking with Joel Pearl and Jeremy Lambert on Fightful Overbooked’s In The Weeds, Maclin revealed that he’s had multiple conversations with TNA Wrestling President Carlos Silva about doing exactly that and wanting to make the International Championship mean as much as possible.

“I cannot confirm or deny when I am going, but soon. It’s coming. It’s something I’ve been pushing for, and just stay tuned on that end. I’ve had multiple conversations with Carlos Silva and the creative team, just trying to make the International Title mean that it’s the International Title and try to make the most of it. Good things are coming down the pipe with TNA and the possible TV deal, and that rumor going around.”

Fans can read his comments on the aforementioned Dog Collar Match with Eric Young here.

Steve Maclin is also starting a new venture outside the wrestling ring. He and his wife, AEW’s Deonna Purrazzo, are launching a new podcast titled “Boots to Boots.” The first episode will debut on Monday, September 15th.
