Stephanie Vaquer discusses her canceled match with Naomi.
Following Vaquer’s victory at WWE Evolution in a number one contenders battle royal, she was originally scheduled to challenge WWE Women’s World Champion Naomi at WWE Clash In Paris. However, following Naomi’s pregnancy announcement and subsequent vacation of her championship, Vaquer’s challenge was pushed back to WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20th against IYO Sky.
While speaking on the latest episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Stephanie Vaquer spoke about her canceled match with Naomi.
“Yeah, everything changed about that. So I’m sad for the match, I’m so happy for Naomi. But everything I think is better because I have more time for training, focused on the next match with IYO. Amazing. She’s amazing. So versus IYO and ESPN, big show with WWE Wrestlepalooza. So it’s like, amazing. It’s really, really amazing. Sometimes everything changes for one reason as my birthday, my dad’s birthday, and he come for first time, watch my match live. So everything is perfect.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Vaquer spoke about WWE trying to change her theme upon her WWE main roster callup, and how she spoke to Shawn Michaels to ensure that she would keep her music following her callup. You can read more about that here.
In another recent interview, Vaquer would also consider the idea of competing in the UFC. You can read more about that here.
