Following WWE Wrestlepalooza on the show’s post show, Triple H would reveal that Vaquer had missed the September 8th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW due to illness. Despite her recent battle with illness, Vaquer was able to capture the WWE Women’s World Championship at WWE Wrestlepalooza, defeating IYO Sky with a Spiral Tap.
While speaking to SI’s The Takedown ahead of WWE Wrestlepalooza, Stephanie Vaquer explained further what her recent bout with illness meant for her training ahead of the Premium Live Event.
“To be honest, the last three weeks I was no good. I was sick. My body [does] not feel like a hundred percent,” Vaquer said on Friday. “I feel a little weak. I could not train really good the last month, but when I [was] back last Monday, I really feel the people and I really feel everything and really forget everything about that.”
Following her victory at the WWE Premium Live Event, Vaquer would note that her victory was even more special due to defeating Sky for the belt. You can read more about that here.
