Sol Ruca Says Saturday Night’s Main Event Felt Like A Celebration, Praises Bayley For Being ‘So Fun To Work With’
Sol Ruca recalls wrestling before John Cena’s final match.
Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025 featured a huge match for the women’s division, as Sol Ruca took on Bayley in a singles contest. In a shocking move, Ruca was even able to score the win over Bayley, a multi-time champion and a seasoned veteran.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Ruca said that the entire day felt like a lighthearted celebration with little stress.
“That whole experience was so crazy because even the whole day we were there, it didn’t feel like a show, if that makes sense. It didn’t feel like a typical wrestling show or a PLE. It felt like a celebration in a way and it was so much fun and it was so lighthearted. I didn’t feel super, super stressed out, which is shocking because of how important that whole day was and whole moment was, but it felt more just an opportunity to do my best and show what I can do. I think I did exactly that.”
Ruca went on to praise Bayley as an opponent, saying that she was fun to work with.
“Bayley is so fun to work with. We wanted to tell the story of her being a vet and being smarter and having more experience. That was shown within the finish of me hitting it, her trying to get out of the ring, but then I’m trying to pull her back in and she tries to roll me up last second. But I’m still more fresh than she is because she just took my finish, so I’m able to roll her back in and secure the win, which was crazy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Sol Ruca revealed that Triple H has requested the Sol Snatcher during her main roster matches. Check out her full comments by clicking here.
