Sol Ruca comments on recent rumors surrounding WWE Speed.
As of late, WWE Speed has not recorded new matches, with reports surfacing that the show has been stopped for the time being. However, both the men’s and women’s titles remain active and for WWE Speed Women’s Champion Sol Ruca, she says that she will continue to say she is a double champion until she is told otherwise be.
While speaking to Ten Count Media in a new interview, Sol was asked if she remains the WWE Speed Women’s Champion, with NXT’s resident surfer noting that she doesn’t really have an answer for the status of WWE Speed, but still considers herself to be a double champion.
“Definitely still a double champion. I am the (WWE) Speed Champion and the North American champion. I know there’s a little confusion about what’s going on. I honestly don’t really have an answer either. But until they tell me I’m no longer a double champion, I am still a double champion.”
Sol continued, suggesting that the title could be used in NXT.
“I mean, maybe we’ll start doing stuff on NXT with it. I mean, I was starting to wear it on NXT, which before wasn’t allowed because it was a separate-, technically a separate universe being on X. But I think there was a little bit of leeway. Now I think we’re just trying to figure out what we want to do with it. But, I mean, as of now, I’m still technically a double champion. So I’m not complaining.”
As mentioned, Sol is still both the Women’s North American Champion and the WWE Speed Women’s Champion as of this writing.
