Sol Ruca Chooses To Relinquish WWE Women’s Speed Title Instead Of Letting ZARIA Defend It, Tournament Announced To Crown New Champion

With Sol Ruca not being cleared to compete, she opted to let her partner ZARIA, defend her NXT Women’s North American Championship against Blake Monroe at the Halloween Havoc Premium Live Event.
Monroe ended up defeating ZARIA to capture the title. As the 10/28 edition of NXT on The CW was ongoing, cameras cut backstage to ZARIA and Ruca in General Manager Ava’s office.
Ruca’s WWE Women’s Speed Championship became the focus of the conversation, and Ava presented her with the option of allowing someone to defend it on her behalf. Ruca, with ZARIA standing next to her, opted to relinquish the title.
ZARIA stormed off after Ruca made her decision. Ava then stated that a tournament will begin on the 11/4 NXT to determine a new champion.
On her Instagram Story, Ruca noted that she’s hoping to be cleared for NXT’s Deadline PLE on December 6th. She is on the promotional material for the show.
