Shoko Nakajikma Defending MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title Against Yuki Kamifuku At Fightland

A new bout joins the fray.

September 13th is the date of MLW’s Fightland special. It is emanating from the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas.

As the show date inches closer, MLW is adding bouts to the special and the preceding television tapings. Joining the Fightland field is an MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship match. The reigning champion, Shoko Nakajima, is going to be defending against Yuki Kamifuku.

Nakajima and Kamifuku have shared the ring multiple times in Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling. MLW has a write-up about their upcoming bout that can be read below:

Major League Wrestling (MLW) today announced a blockbuster joshi wrestling dream match for FIGHTLAND on Saturday, September 13: Shoko Nakajima vs. Yuki Kamifuku for the MLW Women’s World Featherweight Championship.

This summer in Japan, the rivalry turned ugly when Yuki Kamifuku viciously attacked Shoko Nakajima, going as far as to strike the champion with her own championship belt. Now, the world will see the fallout when these two clash in MLW’s return to Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Known across Japan as a super model and celebrated star, Yuki Kamifuku has shown her true colors in MLW: an elitist who believes she’s better than everyone. Backed by an undefeated record in MLW competition, Kamifuku now eyes the coveted MLW Women’s championship — and she’ll stop at nothing to get it.

Standing in her way is reigning champion Shoko Nakajima, “The Big Kaiju.” Beloved for her fighting spirit and larger-than-life persona, the Big Kaiju blends speed, ferocity, and heart every time she steps into the ring. Determined to be remembered as the most fighting champion in MLW history, Shoko has embraced every challenge. And with Salina de la Renta’s recent recruitment of top international talent, the women’s division only grows deeper — ensuring Shoko’s title reign is constantly under siege.

This championship bout represents the very essence of MLW’s global stage: a collision of two of Japan’s premier stars in a rare joshi dream match on American soil. Shoko Nakajima’s quest to prove herself as the ultimate champion now collides head-on with Yuki Kamifuku’s ruthless rise.

Tickets start at $10 at MLWDallas.com. Tickets will also be available day of show at the box office unless the event sales out in advance.

Fightland is going to be headlined by Matt Riddle defending the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against Donovan Dijak.
