Shayna Baszler looks back on one of her biggest victories in WWE.
In 2020, the women’s Elimination Chamber match would main event the show and would feature Shayna Baszler, Asuka, Natalya, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan. The match was memorable due to the fact that Baszler would eliminate every other participant in the bout on her way to victory and earning a WrestleMania match with then WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
While speaking to Catch Club in a new interview, Shayna spoke about the moment, noting that the original plan would have been hated by fans.
“Well, there was a little to do about it because I think the initial pitch was to like Brock Lesnar my way through, where I think they wanted me in first and then I just go (eliminate) one by one and it’s like well, that’s not the fans are going to hate that. So we kind of came up with the way that we did it to kind of give a little bit of both. They get to see a little bit of a match and then I can show it one by one on the last few. So yeah, that’s kind of how it worked out.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Shayna spoke about the highlight of her WWE career. You can read more about that here.
