Jacy Jayne recalls chatting with Shawn Michaels after her big title win.
Jayne was able to capture the NXT Women’s Championship back in May, defeating Stephanie Vaquer in a shock victory.
Speaking with The Takedown On Sports Illustrated for a new interview, Jayne recalled her welcoming conversation with Shawn Michaels after the title win.
“I remember when I won the title, I came to the back and I was like, ‘How was the match, did you like the match, what can I do better, what didn’t you like?’ Just asking annoying questions I guess. He was like, ‘I want you to stop thinking, turn your brain off, please at least try to enjoy this moment. I need you to enjoy this ride because you worked really hard for it and you’re an overthinker and I need you to not be an overthinker and really just have fun with this.’ I definitely overthink every minor detail and he knows that, so him telling me [to] chill out, I need that sometimes.”
