Santino’s Cobra Strikes Mr. Iguana’s La Yesca

Mr. Iguana and his prized pet La Yesca felt the venom of Santino Marella’s cobra at AAA Verano De Escandalo on July 11th.

Santino, teaming with Lola Vice, took on Mr. Iguana & La Hiedra in a mixed tag team bout at AAA Verano De Escandalo. During the match, Santino brought out the cobra and was looking to strike against Mr. Iguana or La Hiedra.

Iguana and La Yesca, Iguana’s pet iguana, tried to comfort La Hiedra. When Iguana turned around, Santino’s cobra unleashed venom. Iguana got out of the way, but La Yesca took the fangs.

Though Santino and and Iguana were on opposite teams, Santino had a look of remorse on his face that La Yesca ended up getting struck by the cobra. Santino even helped Iguana try to revive La Yesca, showing that he was not aiming for the famous iguana.

Iguana wrote on social media, “It was so much like a movie that you could hear a child crying inconsolably at the atrocity.”

It wasn’t all bad for the viral AAA star as he and La Hiedra were victorious in the mixed tag bout.

Santino appeared at the event as part of the multi-promotion partnership between WWE, AAA, and TNA. WWE and TNA are promotional partners, while AAA is owned by WWE. Mr. Iguana has made appearances on NXT TV and was part of WWE x AAA Worlds Collide.
