SANADA Says He’s Stepping Away From The Ring & Going On A Trip

A new journey for SANADA.

The third match of the evening at NJPW New Year Dash 2026 saw Oleg Boltin, YOSHI-HASHI, and Hirooki Goto best HOUSE OF TORTURE (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi & SANADA).

SANADA came to the ring with a guitar that had a mini-LED screen on it, and one of the words shown on the screen was ‘goodbye.’

In his backstage comments, SANADA stated that he’s stepping away from the ring and is set to go on a trip. That is all SANADA said before he left the post-match promo area.

SANADA has not wrestled in a singles match since October 2025, and the last time he won a singles match was in August during the G1 Climax tournament.
