Rusev On How Much Long He’ll Wrestle: At 45, I Will Reevaluate My Body

At the age of 40, Rusev is likely closer to the end of his career than he is the beginning, but he shows no signs of slowing down.

He has remained fairly active in the ring since returning to WWE in April 2025, wrestling 33 total matches, while also taking care of himself physically.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Rusev was asked how much longer he wants to wrestle.

“I said 45 and then reevaluate the body, see how it feels. But so far, I feel great. I haven’t felt that good in a long time, because it’s not like you have matches every day. So the body is way more protected. I take care of my body a lot more. I do a lot of stretching and massages. I eat a lot better. I train a lot smarter. So I just take care of my body, and I know that the body’s going to take care of me,” he said.

Rusev was on Monday’s WWE Raw, confronting Oba Femi backstage.

Elsewhere during the interview, Rusev commented on his return to WWE. You can find his full comments here.
