Roxanne Perez Confident She’ll One Day Main Event WrestleMania

Roxanne Perez has complete confidence that she will one day be a part of the main event of WrestleMania.

Roxanne Perez was a cornerstone performer in WWE NXT from the time of the NXT 2.0 rebrand until she was called up to the main roster in 2025. Perez calls herself “The Prodigy” and has always worked hard to achieve her dreams in every aspect of professional wrestling.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Perez stated with full confidence that she believes she will one day be known as a WWE WrestleMania main-eventer. She touted her abilities as a storyteller and said that, despite being undersized, this adds to her ability to connect with the audience.

“I believe so, I really believe so,” she said when asked if she believes she will main event a WrestleMania one day. “I have a really strong love for the storytelling aspect of everything. I feel like I can get in the ring and I can wrestle, but I can also tell a really good story. I feel like that helps me a lot, because I’m small and I don’t look like everybody else all the time, but I can go in there and I can make you feel something.”

The term “main event” is no longer exclusive to the headlining match on a card. Sometimes, like the story of CM Punk’s match at WrestleMania 41, the term main event exclusively referred to the final match on a card. Still, Rey Mysterio is considered a WrestleMania main event talent because he won the Royal Rumble in 2006 and competed in a match for the world to be a championship at WrestleMania 22. However, that match did not headline the card.

As it stands, only five women have ever headlined a WrestleMania card. Those women are Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, and Mercedes Mone, formerly known as Sasha Banks.
