Ronda Rousey: I Have No Reason To Go Back To WWE, None Of My Friends Are There

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been in WWE since SummerSlam 2023 when she lost to Shayna Baszler in a MMA rules match. She competed in ROH later in the year, teaming with Marina Shafir against Athena & Billie Starkz.

Speaking to Raj Prashad of Yahoo’s Uncrowned, Rousey spoke about her WWE run and the possibility of returning.

“It was a lot of needless anxiety and things like that. And the whole company was just a chaotic shit show on the inside, and then they ended up dropping all my friends,” Rousey said, noting her former stablemates Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. “So I really have no reason to go back. I wanted to do a run with the Four Horsewomen and I never got to do that. And now I feel like I’ve already accomplished everything that I wanted to in WWE and all that’s really left for me is to go there and have fun with my friends, and none of my friends are there anymore.”

Baszler was released by WWE earlier this year while Shafir is signed to AEW and Duke has been away from wrestling since her WWE release in 2021.

The MMA Four Horsewomen never battled the WWE Four Horsewomen (Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Mone, & Bayley) despite teases of it possibly happening.

Rousey previously stated that wrestling was pretty much in her rearview mirror.
