Ron Killings: John Cena Broke R-Truth’s Heart, But I Don’t Have One
Ron Killings explains the difference between himself and R-Truth, the character he played for years in WWE.
Ron Killings is now driving. Since returning to WWE to seek some revenge against John Cena at WWE Money in the Bank, Ron Killings has dropped the fun-loving persona he was known for as R-Truth in favor of a more calculated mindset. As he likes to say, he’s the one driving now.
Speaking to Joel Torres of Contralona during the WWE SummerSlam 2025 press junket, Ron Killings explained that he doesn’t have the naivety that R-Truth does. In fact, he says John Cena wouldn’t be able to break his heart because, unlike R-Truth, he doesn’t have one.
“R-Truth got slammed at Backlash. I didn’t. It’s been great to be alongside R-Truth, watching him whimper over his childhood hero. I’m enjoying riding there, because if somebody don’t stop him from trying to destroy professional wrestling. I will. So, yeah, I’m enjoying this. I’m saying he’s a GOAT. He’s the greatest of all time. We’ve all witnessed the things that John Cena has done, and we’ve all been along for the rise and ride of John Cena, and this is his farewell tour. But he’s gotta come correct me. He’s gotta check himself. You know what I’m saying? he broke R-Truth’s heart, dog. He can’t break my heart, because I ain’t got one.”
John Cena appears to have denounced his evil ways on the August 1 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Learn more about that here.
