Robert Stone looks back on his TNA debut.

Before Robert Stone was a backstage official in WWE NXT alongside Ava, he was known as Robbie E in TNA, a pro wrestler with a Jersey Shore extension who had other Jersey allies. Robbie E and his valet, Cookie made their televised debuts on the October 7 live edition of Impact!, cutting a promo insulting the Florida crowd. While looking back on the moment in a new interview, he admits that it can come across as cringeworthy.

While speaking to SoCalVal for WrestlingNewsCo, Stone reflected on his TNA debut, noting it’s cringe worthiness and admitting that his kids would be mortified if they saw him.

“I watched Robbie E and Cookie deliver this in-ring interview for five minutes, and every word that came out of my mouth was so cringe. Hamster and grenades, believe me, it was hilarious to watch… If I showed my kids that they would be mortified.”

Stone would stay with TNA until 2017, when he would leave the promotion, before signing with WWE a couple of years later.

Elsewhere in another recent interview, Stone noted that he prefers not to be in the ring at this stage of his career. You can read more about that here.
