Rob Van Dam Speaks About How He Sells DDT, Explains How He Hasn’t Compressed His Neck

Van Dam said the pressure does not all go to his neck.

A clip from Chris Van Vliet’s sit-down chat with WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam was pushed out to social media.

Van Dam was asked about how he sells a DDT. When taking the move, Van Dam spikes himself. He explained his method for taking the move the way he does.

If I was to teach someone how to take a DDT, I would tell them exactly what I do. I grab their waist, and hug it in close to my head, so that I know when they go, my head’s gonna go, and my body’s gonna follow.” RVD was asked how he has not compressed his neck, and he replied, “I don’t know. I don’t think there’s any way to tell you, you know what I mean? I think other people can do it. My feet are gonna go up to make sure that my head is with the momentum, with the lead of the action. The pressure just doesn’t really go all to my neck.”
